Yes, this domain/site is for sale. I've been letting it run down for years, and it needs a new, loving owner. Or someone better at turning a profit than I am.

I love the HP books and movies, but I'm not remotely interested in the obsessive fan cult that's developed over the past 3 yrs. I have better things to do with my time than hang on JKR's every word in interviews about whether a 'mudblood' includes 'half-bloods'. I really don't care. The exams were written as comprehension tests to encourage kids to read, but the whole Harry Potter phenomenon has developed into something much bigger - a lifestyle, almost. Not my lifestyle.

So, it's time to say goodbye. Rather than just close the site down to save myself the cost of bandwidth, I'm listing it on eBay so someone interested can buy it. The buyer can keep whatever they want of the existing site - the Exams, the Sorting Hat Ceremony etc, or you can trash it at start again from scratch. I suggest you keep the House Shields intact in their folder though, as they appear on thousands of Blogs around the world, emblazoned with the site url.
